It is with great reluctance that I must announce a temporary suspension of all shipping to the United States, effective immediately.
This decision follows the recent signing of an Executive Order by President Trump, which eliminates the de minis exemption for imported goods with effect from 29th August 2025. The new legislation means that all goods arriving in the USA from that date will be subject to tariff charges, regardless of their value.
Taking into account normal processing and delivery times for international orders, any orders shipped from now onward are likely to arrive on or after the 29th August and would therefore fall within the scope of these tariffs.
At this stage, there remains a high level of uncertainty regarding how these tariffs will be collected and the exact amounts involved. Current indications suggest that the charges may either:
- be levied as a flat-rate fee, which in some cases could easily exceed the total value of a customer’s order; or
- be calculated as a percentage of the order value, potentially in addition to an administration/handling fee applied by the postal carrier responsible for processing the collection of the tariff.
Because of these unknowns – and the potential for customers to incur unexpected and possibly substantial fees – I feel it would be irresponsible to continue accepting orders destined for the USA until more information is available and I can accurately inform customers of the costs they might expect.
I want to emphasise that this decision is not one I wanted to make, and I very much value and appreciate my USA customers. However, the situation is currently out of my control and I believe it is only fair to pause shipping temporarily until everything is clearer.
I will continue to monitor the situation closely and will resume USA shipping as soon as there is sufficient clarity to provide accurate guidance regarding any additional charges.
